Also called the "Antwerp Pere-Lachaise" because of it's many old monuments and famous occupants like Hendrik Conscience. It officially openend in September 1, 1921. Since August 2007 it is an offically protected site. Part is also military but the German occupants of WWII were relocated to Lommel [see other gallery]. It's the biggest cemetery in Belgium.
